"Edipo",The Greek Tragedy

Guacamolink Performing Arts, a Queens-based Hispanic Repertory company returns to the Manhattan Off-Broadway stage with an original work written and directed by Peruvian playwright Walter Ventosilla, inspired by Sophocles' Greek tragedy "Oedipus Rex". "Oedipus" is the first of its kind as Emily Grisanty enacts all roles in this 75-minute tour de force.

Dominican actress Emely Grisanty was recently honored with the ATI 2014 Award for Best Actress in Independent Theatre in New York. She was previously nominated as a Best Actress in the Monologues category.

“Oedipus” will be performed on July 20th, 27th,  August 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th, at 7pm at the 777 Theater located at 777 8th Ave, corner of 47th St. and 8th Ave., in famed Hell's Kitchen. The first four dates will be performed in Spanish, with the last two dates in English.
